September Is National Yoga Month

National Yoga Month is a national observance and awareness campaign held during the month of September to educate about the health benefits of yoga and to inspire a healthy lifestyle. The awareness campaign consists of yoga classes, concerts and other special events during September to celebrate National Yoga Month and inspire people to practice yoga and to create a more balanced lifestyle. 

In 2008, the Department of Health and Human Services designated September as National Yoga Month, one of a select number of national health observances.

Harlem Skin and Laser Center  in association with Yoga Flava is giving back to the Harlem Community with a two hour FREE introduction to Yoga. Co-hosted by certified Yoga instructors Robin Downes and Radha Ruiz

It is open to anyone who has never tried Yoga or those that are interested in reviewing the basics. The focus will be on cultivating a relaxed state to cope with issues effecting our community.
